We're supporting a pioneering client in the quantum technology space in their search for an Integrated Photonics Engineer. This role is ideal for someone excited by the challenge of building novel photonic systems from the ground up, especially within a highly collaborative, research-driven environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, testing, and optimization of next-generation photonic circuits used in advanced computing applications. The position involves hands-on lab work, including the development of test platforms and data acquisition tools for device characterization across a range of temperatures.
Role Highlights
Design and implement experiments to assess the performance of on-chip optical components and integrated photonic devices
Set up and operate test equipment for evaluating photonic systems under various environmental conditions
Analyze device behavior and performance metrics; summarize insights for internal teams
Write scripts for automating test procedures and post-processing data
Partner with internal stakeholders—engineers, scientists, and designers—to iterate on device development
Document workflows and share technical knowledge across the organization
Support intellectual property development through research contributions
Your Background
Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in physics, electrical engineering, optical engineering, or a related technical field
Professional or academic experience working directly with integrated photonic technologies
Comfortable working with optical alignment, fiber-optic systems, and related test tools
Strong analytical and communication skills
Familiarity with core concepts in photonics, signal integrity, and device modeling
