WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Create a bond of trust with customers, always be in SOLUTIONS mode.
  • Ensure territory development, research potential customers and business opportunities with existing customers.
  • Promote parts and service specials.
  • Maintain and ensure communication with customers, clerks, and parts and service managers, discussing opportunities.
  • Analyze market and trends in territory and discuss with supervisor.
  • Develop strategies to close parts and service sales.
  • Respond effectively to customer requests/concerns.
  • Follow up on major repairs or parts sales.
  • Respect established prices and consult a superior for any special requests.
  • Collaborate with customer profile managers to update customer and equipment information.
  • Attend training sessions to further develop knowledge.
  • Schedule visits according to customer requests and needs.
  • Complete visit reports.
  • Support in branch or call center as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years experience as a parts clerk, advisor, or sales representative.
  • Knowledge of John Deere equipment.
  • Knowledge of agricultural, commercial, and industrial fields.
  • Sales training and skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, planning, thoroughness, and professional integrity.
  • Self-motivated and structured.
