Summary of Position: As an EA, you will play a vital role in carrying out pre-planned lessons and life skills activities tailored to your students' unique needs. Your dedication will help students with therapy follow-up, engage them in home learning activities and virtual programming, and collaborate effectively as part of a cohesive team. The children have diverse learning and behavioral needs requiring a compassionate and flexible EA. You will receive support from therapists, a home learning support teacher, parents, and our Special Education Coordinator, fostering a collaborative environment where you can thrive and make a significant impact.
Summary of Position: Educational Assistants are essential members of our dynamic classroom teams. They support inclusive classrooms to ensure all students, including those with disabilities, benefit from learning activities and instruction. They assist the classroom teacher with organization tasks such as taking attendance, preparing learning materials, and directing small groups.
Experience and/or EA certification is highly valued, demonstrating a solid foundation in supporting students with diverse needs. Candidates with a strong interest, relevant experience, or training, and a genuine willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. We seek individuals who embody Christian values, and possess empathy, flexibility, creativity, patience, and enthusiasm. Experience working with school-aged children and a background in special needs are advantageous but not mandatory.
First Aid with CPR and AED certification is required.
