Role Overview

The Licensed Optician at LensCrafters helps establish our store as the premier destination for vision needs. They deliver exceptional customer service and craft high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical expertise and assist with complex product needs.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear with attention to detail.
5. Utilize technology accurately under time pressure.
6. Explore root causes of issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
8. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
9. Adhere to company policies on discounts, promotions, and inventory.
10. Continuously learn and improve skills.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Experience in optical dispensing.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends.
• Basic math skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators.
• Comfort with new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
