Job description

Discovery School has a part-time Teacher/Part-time SEA position (0.2 FTE, Fridays only) at the High School level available. The teaching courses include Art (Grades 9-12), Drama/Dance (Grade 9), Textiles, Life Skills (Grade 11), Library, and Marketing/E-Commerce (Grade 11/12). The position offers salary-based compensation determined by experience, with SEA blocks paid on a per-hour basis. The hired individual will assist with duties, extracurricular activities, and may have substitute teaching opportunities as scheduling permits.

Qualifications

• Must be a BC certified teacher in good standing with the Teacher Regulation Board.
• Possess excellent written, verbal, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Up-to-date first aid certification or willingness to update.
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector/Criminal Record Check from the TRB (or submitted at the time of job offer if certification is in process).
