Job description

As a key member of the Procurement Shared Services team, you will provide professional and value-added services in the procurement of goods and services on behalf of departments, boards, and agencies throughout the Government of the Northwest Territories. You will offer expert advice on tendering, contracting, contract administration, and contract management. The PSS organization manages approximately $90 - $100 million annually in contract and procurement activities originated by GNWT departments, boards, and agencies.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in the development and implementation of policies, systems, and procedures to ensure professional, fair, and consistent tendering and awarding of contracts.
2. Ensure procurement processes are carried out in a controlled manner with due regard for risk management.

Qualifications

1. Achieved a Level 4 status with the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) or equivalent with the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), or a diploma in Commerce or Business Administration with 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, procurement, or contract management.
