Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and refine business and IT strategy to align with organizational goals and vision.
Manage and rationalize the business application and technology portfolio, ensuring the optimal use of resources and technology solutions.
Lead multi-year capital and operational budget planning, with a focus on accurate projections for the total cost of ownership.
Drive business capability planning to support both short- and long-term objectives.
Develop and enforce architectural governance and standards across the organization.
Mitigate enterprise risks through proactive risk management and adherence to best practices.
Key Areas of Expertise:
North American Public Sector Organizations: Experience in working with or within public sector entities, with a deep understanding of their unique challenges and requirements.
Architecture Practice Maturity: Proven expertise in advancing and evolving enterprise architecture practices within an organization.
Application/Technology Portfolio Management: Experience managing a diverse portfolio of applications and technologies, optimizing for business value.
Business Capability Analysis, Development, and Management: Ability to assess and develop core business capabilities, ensuring they are well-supported by technology.
Business and Technology Services Planning, Design, and Orchestration: Proficient in aligning business requirements with technical solutions to drive effective service delivery.
Enterprise Information and Technology Roadmap Alignment: Aligning business and IT roadmaps for long-term success.
Technical Governance Framework Design: Expertise in designing and implementing technical governance structures that drive consistency, reliability, and compliance.
Facilitation with Business and IT Partners and third-party Vendors: Strong facilitation skills in working collaboratively with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors.
Required Qualifications:
Extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture or a related field, with proven success in the public sector or large-scale organizations.
Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget planning, cost management, and financial forecasting.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Framework) or similar certifications.
Experience working with third-party vendors and managing vendor relationships.
Prior experience in the public sector or governmental organizations is a significant advantage.
