STV is seeking a Data Analyst to support a $3-$5 billion dollar project in managing and analyzing project data to enhance decision-making for high-quality infrastructure projects. This role will be integral in developing data-driven insights, optimizing reporting processes, and ensuring data integrity across project management systems. The Data Analyst will receive structured onboarding and mentorship to progressively build expertise in data analytics, visualization, and process automation within the project.
Responsibilities:
Transform project data into actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization techniques
Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports using PowerBI to communicate key performance metrics effectively
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and establish best practices
Automate data workflows using Python/R to improve efficiency in reporting and analytics
Maintain data integrity by identifying and resolving inconsistencies across project management information systems
Support the integration of multiple data sources (ex. project management information systems and common data environments) to create unified reporting solutions
Create visualizations that tell compelling stories about project performance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, preferably in project environments
Strong proficiency in PowerBI for creating advanced dashboards and interactive visualizations
Demonstrated experience with Python or R for data processing, analysis, and workflow automation
Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation from various database systems
Exceptional skill in transforming complex data into compelling narratives, with proven ability to present insights at conferences and stakeholder meetings
Strong problem-solving skills with experience handling large datasets from multiple sources
Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and respond effectively to impromptu requests for data analysis and reporting
Hands-on experience integrating multiple data sources into unified reporting solutions
Experience with data preprocessing of both structured and unstructured information
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with transportation and/or infrastructure projects and programs
Knowledge of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS)
Knowledge of data governance and reporting compliance standards
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams
Familiarity with geospatial analytics and mapping visualization techniques
Proficiency with PowerBI Report Builder for creating custom reporting solutions
Document analytical methodologies for knowledge transfer and reproducibility
