Job DescriptionROLE SUMMARY:
The Field Service Representative (Vision) will be responsible for design, development, troubleshooting, and documentation of complete machine vision solutions within custom automation equipment. Programming of Vision Systems and skilled in troubleshooting of vision systems and applications is required. Good organization skills and self-discipline, working well with minimal supervision, are essential.

Education:
· A post-secondary degree in Engineering Physics, Engineering Science, or Physics or equivalent.
Experience:
· This is a very technically challenging role, requiring a good mix of theory and hands-on practice.
· A minimum of three years of experience with machine vision, motion control, and robots in system design and integration of factory automation projects is required.
· Demonstrated proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language is essential, including the development of user interfaces.
· Strong preference will be given to designers with a proven background in the development of optical, illumination, and machine vision systems.
· Experience in the development of image processing algorithms is also preferred.
· The successful candidate is a good communicator, displays professionalism, and has well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of customer and ATS management in a multi-disciplined engineering environment under pressure. Must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Individuals must have the ability to quickly gain knowledge to readily troubleshoot systems.
