Position Description:

Are you passionate about transforming the digital experience of major brands? Join CGI and participate in innovative e-commerce projects within our Digital Customer Experience – E-commerce team. As a Front-End Developer, you will help create high-performing, engaging user interfaces in a direct-to-consumer (D2C) context.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain responsive front-end components and Magento themes.
2. Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG).
3. Integrate third-party services (payment gateways, PIM, tax management, fraud prevention, etc.).
4. Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, SEO experts, and product teams.
5. Perform QA testing, develop unit tests, and ensure code quality.
6. Monitor front-end performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
7. Contribute to version control and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
8. Identify automation opportunities to accelerate development cycles.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

1. Must reside in the province of Quebec.
2. Must already have legal authorization to work in Canada.
3. Comfortable communicating in French.
4. At least 3 years of experience in front-end development.
5. Proficient with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
6. Hands-on experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce, Hyvä themes, PWA, or headless architectures.
7. Proficient with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
8. Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and web accessibility standards.
9. Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies.

Assets:

1. Comfortable communicating in English.
2. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
3. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and automation (Python, Shell).
4. Familiarity with DAM, PIM, CRM, ERP systems.
