Job description

We are currently seeking a Wealth Services Assistant to join our team at the South Point Envision Financial branch in Surrey, BC.

The Wealth Services Assistant provides administrative and marketing support to assigned Senior Wealth Advisors and responds to routine member/client inquiries. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of client meetings, transaction documentation, and participating in campaigns or special projects. Please note, this role may require working out of a wealth management centre.

Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day

  • Sales and Service Strategy: Answers and responds to routine member phone calls and emails; proactively contacts members and assists with updates to member information; schedules member appointments on behalf of the advisor; screens members and identifies opportunities to refer to other FW lines of business.
  • Member Transactions: Completes required documentation for the Senior Wealth Advisor and forwards for processing; follows up within established timeframes to ensure transactions are processed.
  • Marketing Support: Organizes seminars (on or off-site); prepares invitations and follows up with members to confirm attendance; identifies potential new members/prospects.
  • Administrative Support: Monitors the advisor’s diary and ensures annual review letters are prepared as required; identifies upcoming reviews and ensures appointments are scheduled; prepares queries on member data; starts the financial plan for the Senior Wealth Advisor; maintains accurate member files.
  • Trades: Discusses and processes trades when required on behalf of members.
  • Risk Management: Maintains a professional conduct standard; promotes a positive organizational image; ensures compliance with audit, risk management, and internal policies.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • May require completion of CSI Canadian Securities Course & CPH and/or IIROC licensing
  • Some roles may require licensing depending on the Wealth Specialist supported
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial institution or brokerage as an investment advisor assistant
  • 1 year of administrative or marketing experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, banking software, and CRM programs
  • Understanding of risk management and adherence to policies
