Job Description

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Person B to join our team of skilled professionals based at our brand-new Brampton Plant. This state-of-the-art manufacturing plant produces premium asphalt roofing shingles in a high-speed, continuous manufacturing process environment.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safely operate a sit down counterbalance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification.
  2. Must be comfortable working outside in the elements.
  3. Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials.
  4. Identify where product is located in the yard and in the warehouse by utilizing the Lot Location system.
  5. Load/unload trucks.
  6. Pick and sort stock using a forklift ensuring minimal errors.
  7. Assist with inventory counts as required.
  8. Guide truck drivers where they need to go in order to safely load/unload.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Must have valid forklift certification class 1 license.
  3. Must be able to read a pick list.
  4. Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including weekends.
  5. Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical.
  6. 2 years forklift experience.
  7. Previous experience with materials handling & distribution warehouses preferred.
  8. Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  9. Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  10. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

This is a full-time non-unionized position.
