Job Details

Job Purpose: The Project Manager is a key member of Glenmore's Project Delivery Team, responsible for planning, overseeing, and supporting projects through engineering, drafting, fabrication, and construction to ensure timely and on-budget delivery. Responsibilities include resource allocation, budgeting, reporting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Report to the Project Delivery Manager.
• Manage cost, quality, and delivery performance of assigned projects.
• Schedule drafting, fabrication, construction, and QC/inspection activities.
• Handle change management and manage contract revisions.
• Coordinate with drafting department and subcontractors.
• Design connections and prepare erection procedures.
• Provide expertise on constructability, design, and value engineering.
• Oversee shop drawings, RFIs, meetings, and client communications.
• Maintain proactive client communication and develop customer relationships.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and project updates.
• Oversee site inspections, QC reports, and on-site reviews.
• Promote safety culture, manage safety plans, and oversee documentation.
• Manage project documents, schedules, and tasks via Glenmore’s online portal.
• Manage Project Coordinator(s) and mentor junior staff.
• Identify personal development areas and support junior staff development.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience in steel fabrication industry.
• P.Eng (minimum 2 years) or C.E.T (minimum 3 years).
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
• Highly organized with management experience.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of construction site safety.
• Preferred: Experience with scheduling software (MS Projects or similar), PMP certification, and previous experience with general contractors or consultants.

Working Conditions: Most work is performed in an office setting, with regular visits to construction sites.

Ideal Candidate: Extensive knowledge of structural steel, at least 5 years of project management experience, interest in coaching junior staff, and a successful project delivery track record. Comfortable managing client expectations in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Pay: $90,000 - $130,000 per year
