Position Title : Sanitation Associate

Department : Warehouse

Position Reports to : Warehouse Supervisor

Division : 3

Location : Whitby

  • Schedule : Sunday to Thursday - 2 : 00pm to 10 : 30pm

Position Summary : In this position, your day will consist of operating an end rider to travel through the warehouse, cleaning product spills, sweeping, dusting, washing floors, and other cleaning duties to ensure the warehouse is up to food safety standards for cleanliness and is safe for all employees.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Safely operate an end rider and floor cleaner, including pre-shift and post-shift inspection.
  • Ensure warehouse is kept in HACCP audit ready conditions and safe at all times.
  • Clean up product spills immediately.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs when needed.
  • Provide support to all warehouse functions when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • General sanitation and maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment - lifting from 10 to 80 lbs.
  • Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality.
  • Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated and freezer areas.
  • A good attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Must demonstrate a proven record of consistent on-time attendance and the ability to work overtime and statutory holidays.
  • Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.
