Job Title : Full-stack Developer

Location : Montreal (day 1 onboarding / in-office presence required 3x / week)

Description of team : The Non-Financial Risk (NFRT) Technology organization at Brokerage provides operational controls and surveillance capabilities to enhance the firm's resilience to threats and fraudulent behavior. This role will be within the Privacy Information and Semantics Architecture team which provides IT support to the Brokerage Legal and Compliance division.

Responsibilities :

We are looking for a strong Full Stack Developer to join the Risk and Information management team and help deliver key initiatives. The applicant should be a strong Java and Angular Developer, with strong design and implementation fundamentals. Prior experience in finance or legal operations will be useful, however, the ability and willingness to quickly master new technical and business concepts will be considered. The applicant will be working with an energetic team of highly intellectual and creative developers who work on bleeding edge projects using a variety of different technologies.

Daily responsibilities include, transforming requirements into code, attending scrum meetings, reporting on project status, and learning our in-house frameworks and best practices.

Skills Required :

• 7-15 years of hands-on experience in Java / J2EE. Should be able to write optimized, efficient, and clean code.
• Strong knowledge of Spring framework, including Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring AOP, etc.
• Strong knowledge of test automation tools in both backend and front-end.
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming and Design Pattern concepts with practical experience of leveraging the same during development.
• Linux, Unix, Shell Scripting.
• DevOps experience covering CI / CD pipeline management, usage of containers for application deployment, observability tools.
• Strong Agile experience, with ability to understand and execute various squad responsibilities including scrum master duties.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate should be able to design and then implement solutions.
• Team player with strong attitude and work ethics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate is expected to work with global teams and hence should be clear in both verbal and written communication.
• Write unit tests that exercise all major logic components of the code.

Skill Desired :

• Strong Database skills including PL / SQL and query tuning.
• Use of PostgreSQL, MongoDB among other DB technologies.
• Experience of Camunda 7+ implementation.
• OAuth2 and OIDC.
• Messaging middleware such as Kafka.
• Working with rules engine like Drools.
• Layered Architecture, Component based Architecture.
• Unix OS, Scripting, Python
• Experience of working as part of Global team in Agile Scrum environment.
