The Opportunity
The Project Manager works directly with the customer and internal teams on new and updated projects. The PM will be the main point of communication guiding projects through the entire customer experience process.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct projects from RFQ to shipment
  • Maintain a customer focus, while also ensuring the project will be technically successful
  • Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, sales representatives, purchasing, and production to determine the specifications of the project
  • Responsible for engineering communication with 3rd party equipment/structure suppliers
  • Ensure that end-to-end project planning, risk identification, dependency tracking, issues identification/escalation, and change management are being managed appropriately through team resources, utilizing best practice project management standards
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate these requirements to all team members, ensuring that all project plans are created and in place
  • Review individual equipment approval drawings to ensure correct and accurate information and compliance with corporate standards prior to sending them to customer
  • Manage customer expectations, working with them to resolve issues as they arise
  • Represent your team in project meetings with customers, cross divisional or corporate
  • Develop and maintain project plans and coordinate project activities; track critical path milestones, accomplishments, and results
  • Provide leadership through influence to supporting functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales and manufacturing
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, municipal and local authorities regarding codes, regulations, etc. to ensure minimal disruption to project milestones and plan
  • Enhance our reputation with our client base, by delivering project deliverables, maintaining positive relationships, leading to additional business opportunities
  • Able to work flexible hours and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-pressured environment - managing changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • University Degree in Engineering, supplemented with Project Management and/or Business Management education is an asset
  • PMP designation would be considered an asset
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work professionally with internal and external business partners
  • Proven ability to successfully manage technical projects involving multi-disciplinary teams
  • Member of, and in good standing with the PEO and/or other related professional organizations
  • Ability to converse and collaborate with multiple departments spanning multiple disciplines, and at senior levels
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Software Application and Technical Knowledge:
    • Advanced skills using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD Inventor
  • Working knowledge of ULC, UL, TC, API tank design standards an asset
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
  • Ability to think analytically and make accurate and timely decisions
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
