Reporting to: Dean of Continuing Education

Location: Dawson Creek, Fort St. John and Tumbler Ridge, BC

Salary: Wages will be negotiated (non-bargaining work/non-credit)

Description:

Northern Lights College's Continuing Education Department is looking to hire an experienced tradesperson(s) who will prepare students for the Heavy Mechanical Trades (heavy duty, commercial transport) Red Seal Exam. Delivery of each prep course will be approximately 7 - 160 hours per block of teaching. Location may be on campus or within the community at an alternate location.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Certification of Qualification with Red Seal Endorsed for specific trade area.
2. Minimum of 5 years of recent industry experience after completion of Red Seal
3. Experience with the MS Office 365 suite software
4. Committed to student motivation and success
5. Ability to collaborate as an effective team member
6. Current, valid driver's license (travel may be required within the region in order to deliver the course)
7. Knowledge of rules and regulation of specific trade
8. Knowledge of Skilled Trades BC Program Outlines, Assessment standards and Exam processes

Preferred:

1. Completion of Provincial Instructors Diploma (PIDP) or Equivalent training
2. Individuals who hold multiple trade certifications.
