Transportation facility is seeking a hard working individual for a Terminal Manager position in Vancouver, WA.

This partially Employee Owned Company is looking to hire a proven leader who enjoys a fast paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and grow independent contractor fleet along with customer base
  • Work with Safety Director and Regional Manager in improving company CSA Scores
  • Perform walk around tractor inspections
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations per customer requests or needs
  • Receive or prepare work orders
  • Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories
  • Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules
  • Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information
  • Interact with multiple customers daily: written and verbal
  • Responsible for increasing revenue and controlling costs
  • Employee interaction; hiring; promoting; disciplinary proceedings and training
  • Internal work performance audits

Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Knowledge of rail intermodal container experience
  • Must prioritize safety in all aspects of operations
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively
  • Must demonstrate excellent written (computer) and verbal skills
  • Strong leadership skills a must.
  • Previous management experience in a similar environment required.
  • Previous experience with profit & loss reporting .
  • Looking for hard working and energetic team player.

Compensation: $85,000-$100,000/year depending upon experience

All candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation.
