Job description

JOB PURPOSE :

Provide graphic design support for all LCC internal and external communications

Oversee the school’s media management and contribute to the production and dissemination of photography and video on a daily basis

Expand the current photo management database by incorporating archived media

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Graphic Design & Branding :

  • Design and produce visual materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, website assets, presentations, and signage, ensuring brand consistency
  • Contribute to and maintain the school's visual identity guidelines
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to understand their communication needs and translate them into effective visual solutions
  • Manage print production and vendor relationships

Media Management & Organization :

  • Oversee the organization and cataloging of digital media assets (photos, videos, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of media usage policies and procedures, including efforts in promoting digital citizenship and media literacy
  • Collaborate with staff members on design and media-related projects
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements
  • Participate in relevant school committees and meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum three years’ experience in print and digital design
  • Degree in graphic design or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques
  • Highly creative and imaginative, with a strong visual sense and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
  • Experience and competency in multimedia software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), PowerPoint, and other design tools
  • Experience with photography and video editing is an asset
  • Experience with AI tools to support design, content creation, and media management is an asset
  • Experience with learning and content management systems (LMS & CMS) is an asset
  • Working knowledge of HTML coding an asset
