The ideal candidate will have a combination of a strong technical background and experience working in a customer-facing 'presales' role. This role requires a dynamic personality.
You Will…
Support sales team with web-based and in-person demonstrations of products.
Quickly and professionally respond to functional and technical requirements of Requests For Proposals.
Develop and grow the assigned territory to meet/exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
Generate and build key commercial relationships with target alliance partners.
Implement (installing and configuring) all products required to support the QuickStart evaluation process. This includes working with the customer/prospect to define a plan which best describes and details key objectives, success criteria, logistics, and deliverables.
Co-ordinate business development strategy with the Sales Team.
Convey customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing, and R&D Teams.
You Have…
Must have at least 5+ years of experience working in a pre-sales environment; post-sales and training experience is desirable.
Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written and oral formats.
Requires someone who is comfortable 'selling' technology products, managing objection-handling with senior-level technology managers, as well as being comfortable working with customers in a consultative capacity.
Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Hands-on knowledge of enterprise software solutions including systems management and/or infrastructure management software (IBM Tivoli, HP Openview, BMC, etc.).
Practical experience with system management toolsets and disciplines – SNMP, WMI, SSH, agent-based technology, SQL, MIBs, etc.
Hands-on knowledge of installing software in Windows/UNIX/Linux environments – system administration background is highly desirable.
A B.S or M.S in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred.
Able to travel throughout the sales territory (25% average).
