Job Description

Operate a scissor deck platform safely and efficiently in underground development headings.

Install ground support systems (bolting, screening, meshing, etc.) as per engineering specifications.

Assist with ventilation installation, pipework, and utilities required for development.

Drill and blast preparation support, including marking, scaling, and mucking assistance.

Perform pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical issues with the equipment.

Ensure the workplace is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Follow all health and safety protocols and site-specific procedures.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities.

Support other underground development activities as directed by the supervisor.

Complete daily reports and logbooks accurately.

Job Requirement

  • Completion of a recognized mining training program or equivalent work experience in underground mining
  • Possession of Common Core certification
