Job description

This position will play a critical role in maintaining, customizing, and integrating our Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 system. The role will also serve as a business analyst for all facets of all Sailun business units operations including B2B and EDI integration. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with NAV development and can help improve system functions, automate processes, integrate with external systems, and support end-users with operational issues.

Key Responsibilities :

• Development & Customization : Design, develop, and implement custom solutions in Navision 2017 to meet business requirements. Customize and develop pages, reports, tables, XMLport, Query and workflows as needed.
• Integration : Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate NAV with other systems, including customer, vendor etc. and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow.
• System Maintenance : Regularly monitor and maintain system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure NAV functions optimally for end users.
• User Support : Provide support to end-users, troubleshoot functional and operational issues, and develop solutions to improve user experience.
• Process Automation : Identify opportunities to automate manual processes within NAV to enhance operational efficiency.
• Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for customizations, configurations, and integrations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Skills : Proficiency in C / AL and C / SIDE development environments. Experience with NAV integrations using APIs, web services, or other middleware. Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries and manage data. Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools is a plus. Experience with C# and dotNet.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in identifying and resolving system issues.
• Communication : Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users and work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Required Education and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in an IT role, preferably in a medium-sized organization with multiple locations.
• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Information Technology.
• Microsoft NAV Developers certification is an asset.
• Experience in development, customization, and modifications of Dynamics NAV / Navision function.
• Experience with a version control system.
• Experience with MS SQL Server (technical and functional).
• Experience in common EDI transaction standards.
