This role involves working on a remote project site on the shore of Great Slave Lake in Northwest Territories. Successful candidates must be flexible and willing to work remote rotational shift work.

This is a temporary position from July – October 2025, with a possibility of extension. The hourly rate ranges from $45.00 to $65.00, depending on factors such as education, experience, skills, and qualifications.

Your Role
  • Inspect/monitor construction for compliance with design and technical standards; produce reports; track quantities.
  • Liaise with contractors, design engineers, the client, and project stakeholders.
  • Perform geotechnical, environmental, and structural inspections, including sampling and testing.
  • Report on project schedule, costs, and risks.
  • Prepare construction progress estimates for payment.
  • Manage contract-related issues.
  • Chair meetings and record minutes.
  • Conduct activities in line with procedures, legislation, and standards.
  • Pursue professional development and maintain technical knowledge.
  • Work safely and report safety incidents.
  • Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in Construction Supervision and Contract Administration (Civil/Geotechnical/Environmental). Civil Engineering Technologist Certificate or Degree preferred.
  • Ability to interpret contract drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management.
  • Experience supervising personnel with a focus on Quality Assurance.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work remotely.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with material sampling and testing.
  • Certification with nuclear densometer gauge and TDG.
  • Valid AB driver's license or equivalent.
