Job Responsibilities

1. Analyze and interpret operational and accounting data to explain variations and trends from previous periods, budgets, and forecasts.
2. Process and analyze Corpo payroll data in collaboration with the payroll department and explain variances.
3. Model cost trends while reviewing the various related drivers, potentially involving extensive use of statistical analysis to forecast or model future cost trends.
4. Record various journal entries concerning the balance sheet accounts and the income statement.
5. Manage utility supplier accounts and the payment journal for bank reconciliation purposes.
6. Review the expense report file and record the accounting entry.
7. Prepare accrual entries relating to accounts payable.
8. Support the payables team when necessary (e.g., backing up expense accounts and others).
9. Participate in special projects and respond to ad hoc requests from the management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in administration or accounting.
• CPA title (an asset).
• Relevant experience as a financial analyst (2 to 4 years).
• Bilingual (English and French).
• Able to interpret operational activities and translate them into a financial context.
• Demonstrate flexibility, collaboration, and initiative.
• Proficiency in Excel (formulas, macros, and programming is a plus).
