Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US. We currently have a 12 month renewable contract as a C++ Developer - Capital Markets with our F500 consulting client. This is a hybrid role for office attendance.

Type: Contract

Duration: 12 months to start + possible multiple extensions

Rate: $50/hr C2C

Job Description

In this role, you will be part of a large team with our F500 consulting client, working onsite at a large, global financial institution. This project involves work in the Capital Markets sector of fintech.

Job Requirements

1. Strong programming experience in modern C++
2. Proficiency in Oracle and Python
3. Undergraduate degree or higher
4. 10+ years development experience; valuable if in Capital Markets or FinTech
5. Passion for technology and large-scale software design
6. Dedication to high-quality, clear, and well-tested code
7. Deadline-driven, detailed, and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
8. Strong interpersonal skills
9. Commercial experience
10. Ability to communicate with multiple teams and stakeholders and understand the greater impact of the systems and services you have built
11. Strong communicator - being able to work across multiple role types in engineering teams is critical

Nice-to-have:

1. Experience in Risk Systems and/or Pricing Model Integration
2. Experience working in distributed systems including web services, messaging software (e.g., Solace), etc.
3. Experience in working with large amounts of data
