Business Development - Technical

Job Description
This is a multi-function role in a Business Centre. Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the person in the Technical Business Development role should be a dynamic self-motivated individual ready to work in a fast-paced team environment and capable of providing superior customer service to our valued customers.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
- Provide superior customer service communication via telephone, email and/or other communication by promptly and professionally assisting with customers' needs;
- Respond to customers' inquiries in a timely manner, with assistance from other team members if needed;
- Develop a professional relationship with customers and/or vendors as per criteria established by the Manager;
- Takes necessary action to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner; follows up and verifies commitments are met afterwards;
- Proactively suggest associated and/or alternate products as needed;
- Promote focus product items;
- Quickly inform the appropriate person (Business Centre Manager, Outside Sales Representatives) of customer feedback with regards to price, products, services, etc.
- Take a proactive approach to enhancing their technical knowledge through available training on various product lines and learning opportunities;
- Support in other tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 minimum completed; ideally 1-2 years of related experience;
- 5 plus years in a previous role with Electrical Experience;
- Strong communication and people skills, initiative;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OUTLOOK);
- Interest and capability in performing sales duties and purchasing/inventory management functions as needed;
- Strong ability and desire to develop and grow skills.
