We currently have an opening for a Civil Engineer (Intermediate) in our Markham office. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience and will be expected to provide innovative design while working in a dynamic team environment to improve overall group performance and client service. You’ll provide technical expertise and project coordination on municipal infrastructure projects for public sector clients.
You will assist our local team in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects including smaller and larger scale municipal infrastructure developments and the civil component of municipal facilities projects. The core requirements for the role are strong technical capabilities covering all aspects of civil design specifically watermain, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer design.
You will have hands-on involvement in preparing studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents. Participation in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, and contract administration for infrastructure projects is also part of the role, including involvement in business development and preparation of proposals.
You will also have significant interaction with clients, contractors, and subconsultants. The position brings with it the potential for excellent career growth as you will be involved in many wide-ranging and varied projects. Travel will be required at times based on project requirements.
This individual will promote the firm’s vision and culture, and meet the strategic goals and objectives established in collaboration with the Group Manager.
