Class A Shipper

Agropur, a leading manufacturer of ice cream, novelties and mochi in Canada, is accepting applications for full time workers for its production facility located at 85 Blakeney Drive, Truro, Nova Scotia.

What the Class A Shipper role is about:

• Unloading/loading of trucks
• Picking orders
• Rotation of coded products
• Procure packaging & ingredients from freezer/warehouse as required by production
• Count inventory
• Follow all Safety, Quality & HACCP regulations and policies

What you need to be a Class A Shipper:

• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Forklift experience
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Comfortable to work in -35 degree Celsius environment
• Available for shift work (up to 40 hrs. per week), weekends and overtime as required. Schedule is based on production need.

This is a fast-paced environment in a food processing plant. The ideal candidates will have the ability to follow precise procedures, possess excellent hand and eye coordination, and effectively communicate and work well with others. Previous experience in a food processing plant or warehouse environment will be considered an asset.
