Fire Investigator - Full Time (London, Ontario)

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences is seeking a Fire Investigator in London, Ontario, who is dynamic, motivated, and passionate about their career to support our expansion in Southwestern Ontario.

The successful candidate will perform forensic fire investigations to determine the origin and cause of structure and vehicle fires. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Good presentation skills are an asset. Effective communication with clients and stakeholders is required.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess, analyze, and report on the origin and cause of fires.
  2. Interview witnesses, service personnel, and officials.
  3. Conduct inspections of roofs, attics, crawlspaces, partially destroyed buildings, fire-damaged structures, and elevated structures.
  4. Recognize potential subrogation opportunities.
  5. Work at heights and in all temperatures, with the ability to climb.
  6. Assess the safety of fire-damaged structures.
  7. Lead projects from start to finish.
  8. Provide clear, accurate, and timely reports.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum CFEI, CFI, or CVFI certification, or the ability to become certified.
  2. 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably with a background in fire investigation or equivalent.
  3. Experience in the insurance and legal industries.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  5. Understanding of the Fire Code.
  6. Class G driver’s license or equivalent.
  7. Positive, self-driven attitude with motivation.
  8. Willingness to support marketing and sales through industry events.
  9. Customer-facing skills to discuss project budgets and maintain communication.
