Our family is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide full-time care to a senior in Vancouver, BC. We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient, and committed to ensuring the highest level of care and support. On-the-job training will be provided as needed.

Job Summary

Position title: Home Support Worker (NOC 44101)
Positions available: 1
Starting date: As soon as possible
Position type: Permanent, full time
Work schedule: 40 hours per week
Work location: 2077 E 47th Ave Vancouver, British Columbia V5P 1R2
Salary: $23 per hour
Benefits: 4% vacation pay; 2 weeks paid vacation after one year
Required language: English

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide personal and health-related care, including assistance with mobility, peri-care, and bowel/bladder care.
• Offer emotional support and companionship.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and personal grooming.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assisting with feeding if necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and maintaining a clean living space.
• Support shopping needs by preparing lists, purchasing items, and organizing household supplies.
• Follow care plans and assist with medication reminders as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Minimum secondary school graduation.
• Related education or training in home care or related preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
