Our Vancouver Road Construction Team is seeking an Asphalt Raker Person to perform the following:

Responsibilities

• Ability to rake asphalt to high standards
• Operate raking equipment to distribute and level paving materials
• Ensure that proper grades and slopes are maintained throughout the project
• Work in a team environment to ensure that project timelines are met
• Perform routine maintenance on raking equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Assist with other paving-related tasks as needed
• Follow and adhere to all the company’s safety procedures and directives
• Responsible for ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner
• Perform work in outdoor construction site settings
• Act in a courteous manner to project a positive company image

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with asphalt
• Raking asphalt experience is considered an asset
• Previous experience working on asphalt and concrete paving projects
• Ability to operate raking equipment and other paving-related tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain proper grades and slopes
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and working in all weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, and early starts (irregular hours) when necessary
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Physical ability to load and unload materials from the dump truck
