Fall 2025 Co-op: WiSE Artificial Intelligence Software Developer

Job Title: AI/ML Co-op Student / Intern
Location: 1350 René-Lévesque West, Montréal, Québec, H3G 1T4
Duration: 4 months – Starting September 2025

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated AI Co-op Student to support our efforts in exploring, developing, and integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) into our IT solutions. The candidate will analyze use cases, experiment with AI tools, and contribute to innovation within a business context.

WiSE Program Highlights:

• Onboarding activities including workshops on business etiquette, consulting foundations, elevator pitch development, and networking.

Interns are expected to be present at the office several times a week to promote collaboration.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identify AI/ML use cases within the organization, such as predictive analytics and natural language processing.
• Prototype AI solutions using tools like Python, Azure/OpenAI, HuggingFace, Gemini, CoPilot, LLMs.
• Support data preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and evaluate outcomes.
• Document findings and prepare reports and presentations.
• Stay updated on AI trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program (Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering).
• Knowledge of Python, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Java.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts like supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, computer vision.
• Experience with tools like Jupyter, Git, cloud services (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn.
• Good communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, LangChain).
• API and web services experience.
• Data visualization skills (Power BI, matplotlib).
