Job description

Are you passionate about education and community? Do you have experience in fundraising, leadership, and strategic planning? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the Executive Director position at the Friends of Foothills Schools Foundation!

The Friends of Foothills Schools Foundation is a new organization that supports schools within the Foothills School Division and includes the communities of Okotoks, High River, Diamond Valley, Longview, and the County of Foothills. Our vision is to remove financial barriers that impede academic success.

Foothills School Division is helping facilitate on behalf of the Foundation, the selection of an Executive Director. As the Executive Director, you will oversee the operations and success of the foundation, by working with the Board of Directors and in collaboration with the Foothills School Division. You will be responsible for the promotion and growth of the foundation, managing volunteers and events, fundraising and grants, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

The position, working directly for the Foundation in a contractor capacity, is initially an eight (8) month contract at a 0.5 FTE (17.5 hours per week), with the intent that it will be renewed based on the availability of resources. At minimum, you will need a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, preference will be given to those that have at least five years of experience in fundraising or executive management, and a strong commitment to education and community development.
