Position Summary :

Reporting to the Mix Plant Supervisor, the Production Operator works in various areas within the mix plant daily. The primary goal is to ensure efficient operations in batching, material storage, and movement, while strictly following safety and food safety policies. The role supports the Supply Chain's objectives of timely, complete, and quality-compliant customer order fulfillment.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Set up equipment according to setup sheets and operate PLC controls.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve setup problems to reduce downtime.
  • Monitor and record downtime, collaborating with maintenance to minimize it.
  • Follow schedules to ensure timely and complete shipments.
  • Read production orders and formulas carefully, paying close attention to details.
  • Monitor equipment operation continuously and notify maintenance if needed.
  • Weigh and measure ingredients accurately following procedures.
  • Load finished products onto pallets and move skids to staging areas.
  • Identify and resolve problems; escalate when necessary.
  • Enter production data promptly into the designated system, Dax.
  • Verify work accuracy, including materials, weights, packaging, and labels.
  • Communicate effectively during shift handoffs to ensure seamless production.
  • Follow safety procedures daily and at shift end.
  • Participate in process improvements and the Supply Chain Kaizen program.
  • Adhere to security, HACCP, GMP, and BRC policies and procedures.
  • Prioritize health and safety at all times.
  • Comply with Food Safety policies and requirements.
  • Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed.
  • Assist with other departmental tasks and perform additional duties.
  • Be capable of repetitive scooping.
  • Operate forklifts, low riders, and use HMI and ERP systems for raw material issuance.
