Maintenance Assistant Manager (Maintenance leadership experience required)
Seasonal: March - November

Property Overview:
Pine Bungalows is a unique property of 52 individual cabins & 16 hotel rooms, located on the banks of the Athabasca River in Jasper National Park.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities include:

1. In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, responsible for training, supervising, and motivating maintenance staff.
2. Manage Maintenance logbook and record completed jobs.
3. Assess importance of various jobs and prioritize accordingly.
4. Complete a variety of maintenance tasks (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, septic, carpentry, etc.) as skilled.
5. Operate bobcat.
6. Empty and dispose of garbage, process recycling.
7. Maintain lawn and plants (cutting, weeding, watering).
8. Cut and distribute firewood.
9. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
10. Perform small jobs for guests as required.
11. Ensure tools are in good working condition.
12. Provide professional and friendly service to guests.
13. Respond to guest inquiries or forward them to Front Desk.
14. Keep all areas neat and tidy.
15. Work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:
- Previous Maintenance Supervisory experience required.
- A wide variety of maintenance skills is advantageous (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, septic, carpentry, bobcat, etc.).
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written); a second language is an asset.
- Previous customer-related maintenance experience preferred.
- Must possess a professional presentation.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Physical Aspects of the Position:
Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting. Must be able to carry and lift loads of up to 50lbs regularly. Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Shifts:
Full time – approximately 40 hours per week, based on seasonal demand. Shift work – Day, Evening, Weekend. Two consistent regular days off are almost always provided.

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. We are unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
