A leading company in the packaging industry is seeking a Press Assistant for their manufacturing plant. The role involves assisting the press operator, monitoring machine conditions, and ensuring quality production. Candidates should have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to lift heavy materials.
Printpack's manufacturing plant in Elgin, IL is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Press Assistant for 2nd Shift (3p - 11p, Mon-Fri).
Additional $2.50/hr. premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.
Requirements:
Prior experience running Rotogravure press preferred
Prior manufacturing experience preferred
Requires standing for long periods
Requires lifting of 50 lbs.
Basic computer skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Assist Roto-gravure printing press operator
Hang new rolls of printed packaging
Splice rolls
Remove completed rolls
Monitor machines for proper running condition
Enter/retrieve data into computer
Monitor inks/adhesives
Monitor progress of running job
Communicate with peers and supervisory staff concerning production
Perform housekeeping duties as needed around equipment
