Responsibilities
- Develop insightful, fact-based business updates.
- Define the vision and establish a clear portfolio approach, including SKU rationalization across different brands.
- Manage innovation in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as PMO, R&D, Legal, and Regulatory.
- Lead the label designing and packaging process.
- Create marketing toolkits to support the aftermarket sales team, including brochures, sales sheets, website content, and selector tools.
- Lead and attend trade shows for heavy-duty equipment in the US and Canada.
- Work effectively with advertising, promotional, research agencies, consultants, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- University degree in Marketing or Business Management.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in brand building, product management, and marketing within the CPG industry.
- Experience with retailers such as Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona, Walmart, etc.
- Experience in B2B, aftermarket industries, and industrial sectors is a plus.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in French is required.
- Ability to create presentations and present to both small groups and large audiences.
- Strong writing skills for business plans, proposals, and internal reports.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to analyze market research and business reports, interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
- Good knowledge of budgeting, pricing strategy, and margin management.
- Technical aptitude regarding product specifications, usage, and experience in new product development and launches.
- Experience briefing agencies and evaluating their work, providing feedback.
- Proficiency in digital, social media, and e-commerce platforms.
- Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn analysis tools like PowerBi and Krunchbox.
