Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Develop insightful, fact-based business updates.
  2. Define the vision and establish a clear portfolio approach, including SKU rationalization across different brands.
  3. Manage innovation in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as PMO, R&D, Legal, and Regulatory.
  4. Lead the label designing and packaging process.
  5. Create marketing toolkits to support the aftermarket sales team, including brochures, sales sheets, website content, and selector tools.
  6. Lead and attend trade shows for heavy-duty equipment in the US and Canada.
  7. Work effectively with advertising, promotional, research agencies, consultants, and vendors.

Qualifications

  1. Education and Experience:
  2. University degree in Marketing or Business Management.
  3. Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  4. Experience in brand building, product management, and marketing within the CPG industry.
  5. Experience with retailers such as Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona, Walmart, etc.
  6. Experience in B2B, aftermarket industries, and industrial sectors is a plus.
  7. Communication Skills:
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in French is required.
  9. Ability to create presentations and present to both small groups and large audiences.
  10. Strong writing skills for business plans, proposals, and internal reports.
  11. Technical Skills:
  12. Ability to analyze market research and business reports, interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  13. Good knowledge of budgeting, pricing strategy, and margin management.
  14. Technical aptitude regarding product specifications, usage, and experience in new product development and launches.
  15. Experience briefing agencies and evaluating their work, providing feedback.
  16. Proficiency in digital, social media, and e-commerce platforms.
  17. Computer Skills:
  18. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  19. Ability to quickly learn analysis tools like PowerBi and Krunchbox.
