In-home Caregiver – Private Home – DaAb… Family

• NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is August 1, 2025.

Language requirement: French or English.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: DeAb… lives in the town of Outremont, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood; schools and parks are nearby. The city bus and metro are easily accessible (bus #119 or #160). The major intersection is Ave. Van Horne and Park Ave.

Duties may include:

1. Helping with the care of a 2-year-old child.
2. Supervision of a newborn when parents are not at home, and taking the child to and from appointments.
3. Organizing and participating in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents.
5. Bathing children and changing diapers as needed.
6. General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
7. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
