Summer Analyst Program Description
RBC Capital Markets offers a 10-week U.S. Summer Analyst Program for high-performing, rising college seniors interested in exploring a career in Corporate Banking. The program is designed to provide valuable experience and insights into the world of investment banking and credit analysis.
# Responsibilities:
• Support Corporate Banking Verticals: Contribute to the entire credit origination, execution, and portfolio management cycle across 10+ industry verticals.
• Due Diligence: Analyze company filings, financial statements, diligence reports, equity/credit research, and attend management presentations and diligence calls to support new lending transactions.
• Credit Analysis & Documentation: Assist in preparing internal credit presentations and documentation, including detailed written analyses and working with financial models to assess creditworthiness.
• Business & Financial Analysis: Analyze companies’ business models, financial projections, deal structures, industry dynamics, and investment merits in collaboration with Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Risk Management, and other internal partners.
• Support Senior Team Members: Contribute to various ad-hoc and recurring initiatives such as portfolio management, administration, reporting, pipeline management, annual budgeting, and other special projects.
• Back and Middle Office Integration: Liaise with back and middle office functions to set up transactions on internal systems.
# Requirements:
Must-have:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Graduation date in Spring 2026 or December 2025.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage dynamic priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in capital markets, finance, and banking.
• Intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
Nice-to-have:
• Minimum of 1 relevant internship experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Basic understanding of loan and capital markets products.
• Develop a deep understanding of credit, structuring, and execution across various industry verticals and transaction types.
• Gain experience in a growing and dynamic team with strong deal flow, a collaborative work environment, and a flat structure.
• Direct involvement in and exposure to significant M&A, LBO, acquisition, and related transactions.
• Build relationships with industry and product partners and learn about RBC’s full product suite.
• Clear career path with significant opportunity for growth within a team-oriented environment.
• Gain experience working directly with MDs and earn recognition for successes.
The expected salary range for the position is $95,000, depending on factors such as experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs.
