WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is a freelance position supporting the operation of a corporate event production facility, hired as needed. The Event Production Technician / Video Production Operator collaborates with our internal AVI-SPL team to execute event production requirements, including operating broadcast production equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in setting up control room and front of house event equipment for each production.
2. Troubleshoot and maintain studio-related equipment.
3. Support various production operator roles for live events. Roles include, but are not limited to: Technical Director (V1), Video Operator (V2), Graphics Operator, Video Playback Operator. You do not need proficiency in all roles to apply, but support for multiple functions is preferred.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-have skills & qualifications

• Experience in studio production and live event support.
• Familiarity with control room equipment such as video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.
• Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.
• Positive attitude, customer-focused, and a team player.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience with Ross production environments, Ultrix routers, Carbonite and Ultra switchers.
• Experience with audio systems including Yamaha consoles, Dante networks, Shure microphones, and intercoms.
• Familiarity with Panasonic PTZ cameras.
• Knowledge of post-production software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
