Job Description

This is a remote position with travel up to 90% of the time. Ideal candidate should live close to a US airport.
Our airport team works a variety of alternate shifts including nights/weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role primarily supports SICK Services and Products across North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide excellent customer service by managing expectations effectively.
  • Support various Services Organization programs.
  • Build support structures and install SICK equipment using hand tools and basic construction knowledge.
  • Make electrical connections of SICK equipment.
  • Configure SICK products using a laptop and configuration software.
  • Perform onsite commissioning, start-up support, monitor equipment, and adjust as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace SICK equipment.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Prepare accurate service reports, timecards, and travel expenses.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Two-year college degree, technical school, or equivalent work experience required. A four-year degree is preferred.
  • 0-3 years of field service experience.

Other Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 85%.
  • Availability to work alternative schedules, including weekends, nights, and on-call hours.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.
POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Complete logistics automation training.
  • Complete all assigned SICK training modules.
  • Install, test, and commission specific scanner systems as per guidelines.
  • Knowledge of SOPAS and CLV Setup software; ability to write simple evaluation conditions.
  • Read CAD designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately.
  • Assemble scanner system frames.
  • Work effectively in a team environment with senior technicians.
