OT Project Manager I

Location: Candiac, Quebec

Position Type: Operations

Salary: Full-Time, Exempt

About the Position

The ADM Operational Technology (OT) team focuses on creating and maintaining scalable, supportable, and secure ICS environments. As a key member of the OT team, you will be responsible for advancing project and engineering capabilities within the ADM OT ecosystem. You will collaborate with OT engineers, automation leads, GT technical resources, and key business segments to provide enhanced plant support and high-quality project delivery.

Qualified candidates will be highly motivated self-starters with experience working in cross-functional global teams. They should have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities, and managing remote projects with internal and contractor resources. A security-by-design mindset and a strong understanding of ICS strategy are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop OT project scopes, coordinate site discovery, oversee designs, installations, and track equipment and budgets.
  • Design and deploy OT network solutions within standards that integrate with the larger OT environment.
  • Incorporate security-by-design into all solutions, ensuring security requirements are considered alongside technical needs.
  • Coordinate design sessions with OT SMEs, Automation, and GT leads.
  • Oversee project documentation across all phases.
  • Lead project meetings and report to the NA Project Engineering Manager.
  • Work closely with GT, Automation leads, and contractors to support projects.
  • Configure process switches for BAU support and projects in Canada.
  • Propose continuous improvements for systems and processes.
  • Maintain technical skills and develop non-technical skills.
  • Provide escalation support and assist with incident resolution.
  • Participate in off-hours support rotation and project hyper-care.
  • Support ADM plants with limited PC/end-user support, emergency fixes, and installations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Motivated, self-starting individuals comfortable working in cross-functional global teams.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expected travel: 20%.
Education or Work Experience
  • Associates Degree in a technical field; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 5+ years supporting enterprise-level technology operations, preferably in networking.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing environments with 24/7 operations.
Preferred Experience
  • Managing multiple cross-functional projects.
  • Network architecture design and implementation.
  • Programming and troubleshooting Cisco switches.
  • Server infrastructure and virtualization experience.
  • Guiding contractors during on-site installation and troubleshooting.
  • High-level understanding of infrastructure, applications, networking, and security.
  • Experience with process automation systems (Rockwell, Emerson, Novatech) is valuable but not required.
