The Field Service Representative rotation is a 3–4-year program. The first year focuses on training with broad exposure to Solar’s products and Customer Service organization, including classroom, online, hands-on, and mentored controls system training at various locations:

  • San Diego, CA: Administrative modules, Safety Training, Gas Turbine Package Familiarization, Control Systems training, Customer Service Experience
  • Mabank, TX: Principles & Applications of Control Systems, Borescope of Turbine Engines, Power Generation and Gas Compression, Rigging & Lifting, Alignment, Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting

After the initial year, a commitment of 3 additional years at the hiring district offices as a Field Service Representative is required, with a company vehicle provided for travel. The role involves significant travel, customer interaction, diagnosing turbine and plant issues, and working safely and professionally in the field environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Expected graduation with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering by summer 2025
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Willingness and ability to travel, relocate, and work overtime
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to work in extreme environments, high integrity, self-confidence
  • Ability to handle stress and work under pressure
  • Professional communication skills
  • Previous internship or customer-facing work experience preferred
