SUMMARY:

This role involves managing pharmacy operations during your shift, providing consultations to customers and healthcare providers, practicing to the full scope of professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting with dispensary maintenance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Pharmacy and Customer Service
2. Greet all customers approaching the pharmacy
3. Operate within federal, provincial, and legal requirements
4. Ensure privacy and confidentiality of customer information
5. Provide counseling on prescriptions and OTC products
6. Practice to the full scope of professional services within your capabilities
7. Be clearly identifiable to the public
8. Ensure accuracy in dispensing prescriptions
9. Communicate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive customer care
10. Maintain all required records according to legislation and policies

Workflow and Inventory Management:

1. Control access to the dispensary respecting inventory and confidentiality
2. Review and manage workflow queues daily
3. Regularly check 'will call' bins per SOPs
4. Identify and manage expired inventory
5. Oversee stock levels and medication orders from suppliers
6. Ensure compliance with regulations for controlled substances and report to authorities as required

Operations:

1. Maintain a professional image at all workstations and areas
2. Assist with financial reporting as needed
3. Respond to store communications via the web
4. File incident reports for medication or privacy issues

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

1. Ability to think independently and make decisions
2. Plan, coordinate, delegate, and coach colleagues
3. Proven leadership and business development skills
4. Exceptional customer service commitment
5. Strong professionalism and customer relations skills
