Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll provide exceptional customer service by phone and email in an inbound call center environment and report to a Customer Service Center Supervisor. Our team members are expected to be active participants in a workplace that promotes accountability, coaching, and teamwork to achieve our business, team, and customer goals efficiently.

You’ll enjoy flexible 8-hour shift options scheduled between 6 : 00AM to 6 : 00PM MST, Monday to Friday. After completing our 12-week training program, you will work in a hybrid environment with three days in the office and two days at home. This role is expected to start later in July.

Job Responsibilities (You Will) :

  • Deliver a positive customer experience through order entry, follow-up, shipment tracking, updates, account corrections, credits, returns, and more.
  • Listen to customer needs, ask exploratory questions, and interpret requirements to provide solutions.
  • Combine service, sales, and technical system skills with product knowledge to identify customer needs and provide solutions.
  • Promote the benefits of doing business with Grainger and suggest product alternatives and services.
  • Identify leads for further sales opportunities to enhance sales growth.
  • Analyze information to resolve inquiries and complex problems.
  • Respond to customer calls and inquiries regarding pricing, products, and billing via phone or email.
  • Communicate with customers and partners to inform them of request statuses until completion.

Education / Experience (You Have) :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • 1+ years of successful customer service experience, preferably in a contact center environment.
  • Proficient and accurate typing and data entry skills.
  • Advanced system knowledge; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Bilingual (ENG / FR) is an asset.
