Job Description: Software Developer - Full Stack - Senior
Client: Community Services Cluster
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Contract Duration: June 2, 2025 March 20, 2026

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, integrate, and develop software solutions
• Ensure IT security compliance and implement programming best practices
• Develop n-tier web-based applications utilizing Oracle databases
• Implement emerging technologies such as Web Services, responsive frontend development, and AODA-compliant solutions
• Utilize reporting tools like Jasper for analytics
• Support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an agile/iterative environment
• Develop and maintain Oracle SQL scripts and ensure efficient relational database management
• Provide consultation and collaborate with stakeholders to determine system development options
• Conduct technical discussions and coordinate system improvements
• Analyze problems, assess feasible solutions, and develop strategies for unique challenges
• Ensure project deadlines are met in collaboration with team members

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Experience in software design, development, integration, and IT security
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL
• Experience with open-source frameworks such as Spring, MyBatis, Bootstrap, and jQuery
• Hands-on experience developing applications using Oracle databases
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile/Iterative)
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL scripting and relational database management

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with public sector application development and GO-ITS standards
• Familiarity with Public Sector Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) processes
