Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Mississauga – Hybrid – 3 days/week

Term: Fulltime/permanent

Job Overview

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The role focuses on leading applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Applications Development or systems analysis
• Extensive experience in system analysis and software application programming
• Experience managing and successfully implementing projects
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
• Ability to quickly adjust priorities based on circumstances
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required Skills

• Minimum of 6 years application development experience
• Experience leading technical teams, including hiring, performance management, and talent development
• Solid understanding of application infrastructure components such as hardware, storage, network, databases, and disaster recovery
• Working knowledge of Unix, including shell scripting (preferably RedHat Linux)
• Experience with technologies like Talend, IBM Datastage Cloud Pak, AWS Cloud Solutions (Glue, S3, KMS, IAM, Lambda, SQS)
• Programming and scripting skills in Python, UNIX/Linux Shell scripting
• Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL
• Experience with XML/XSD/XSLT and JSON
• Familiarity with modern source control, build, and CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, GitHub, Team City, Artifactory, Sonarqube, Ansible, Tekton/Harness)
• Experience using JIRA and ServiceNow SaaS
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovative skills
• Effective time management to handle multiple priorities across time zones
• Excellent communication skills
