Duration: 19 June - 20 August. Short-term employment with full and part-time hours available.
Rations and quarters may be available if required. Language: English.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform within defined scope of practice in accordance with the regulatory organization in the province of work.
- Perform triage assessments during walk-in hours and patient assessments, including medical or incident history and physical examinations.
- Perform nursing interventions such as taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensuring infection control, and conducting specimen collection.
- Develop a nursing care plan based on assessment results and refer to a physician or other healthcare provider.
- Administer medication as per doctor’s orders and provincial scope of practice; observe and document therapeutic effects.
- Complete nursing documentation immediately after each patient interaction.
- Communicate any changes or abnormal findings in the patient’s status or condition to the senior clinician. Abnormal is defined as any deviation from the norm, average, or expected.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections and wound care.
- Administer and monitor respiratory and intravenous therapies.
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and provide health education to patients.
- Perform administrative tasks including responding to patient queries, preparing medical files for healthcare providers, and returning medical files to the health record department.
- Assist physicians or other healthcare providers with treatments and procedures.
- Act as the point of contact for care coordination, responses, information requests, and patient inquiries in the specialty clinic.
- Monitor medical supplies and inventory, including ordering and replenishing.
- Clean all patient care areas between patients.
- Clean, sterilize, and package surgical instruments.
- Perform other tasks relevant to this occupational group.
Additional Responsibilities
- Adhere to Bayshore policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and initiatives in line with the company's Quality Management System.
- Engage in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing duties.
- Notify immediate supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Complete accident reports for any injuries within 24 hours.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information, discussing it only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
Must successfully complete the Police Records Check (PRC)/Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) process, as these are mandatory for working with youth.
