Our client is looking for help in research for big data systems. The data team handles massive amounts of data generated by our client’s Cloud Services and mobile devices. The team is responsible for turning this data into actionable insights that allow our stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and create value for our business, customers, and partners.

Our client is seeking a Data Scientist passionate about big data technology and delivering data insights to help the business meet the distinct needs of different customer cohorts. The data scientist works closely with our data engineering, data analysis, backend and frontend engineering, product design, business strategy, and marketing teams to decide on investments in specific data-driven platforms and products.

Job Responsibilities

1. Analyze data to understand usage and performance of Samsung cloud services and operations.
2. Collaborate with cloud solution teams to innovate and apply new Generative AI technologies to improve customer satisfaction.
3. Develop mathematical models for data products to drive future growth, and develop data pipelines and sources for related data-driven operations.
4. Address complex issues involving customer situations or business data, requiring in-depth evaluation of variables. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
5. Generate data reports and business insights using the latest ML/AI technologies.

Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a data scientist/analyst building and deploying ML/AI models or developing deep learning and predictive models.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Expertise in Python, including SciKit-Learn, Pandas, TensorFlow, Keras, and other Deep Learning frameworks.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, Redshift.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Mobile Device Management or B2B cloud solutions.
• AWS, GCP, or Azure certifications.
• Experience with Tableau for data source and dashboard creation.
• ML engineering experience.
• Experience with Airflow, EKS, EMR, Redshift, Kubernetes.
• DevOps experience, including scripting, Terraform, UNIX systems, release management, and production monitoring.
