The salary range for this position is CAD $39.25/Hr. - CAD $39.25/Hr.

Come work as an Electronics Instrument Control Technician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for an Electronics Instrument Control Technician to join the Plant Maintenance team at Vancouver General Hospital. Apply today to join our team!

As an Electronics Instrument Control Technician with VCH you will:

  • Perform skilled work in the installation, alteration, troubleshooting, maintenance, service and repair of electronic equipment and systems.
  • Interpret prepared sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Understand and operate computer software for electronic equipment/systems, and build automation systems (BAS).
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology plus three (3) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Industry and vendor equipment certifications as required.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes.
